On December 19th, I had the absolute honor of photographing a surprise proposal at the stunning Fan Pier Park in Boston. Not only was this proposal incredibly romantic, but also held extra significance for the couple, who were celebrating their 10-year anniversary that very day.

The couple, who have been together since high school, created a beautiful love story. The groom-to-be planned all the details, ensuring that his longtime love, Thalita, would be completely caught off guard - and she was! Her reaction was priceless, and I couldn’t have been more excited to capture this special moment.

We scheduled the proposal to coincide with twilight, as the sun set at 4:14pm that eventing. Patrick really liked the city lights in the background, so that’s what we made happen! Shooting during the twilight gave the photos a soft, dreamy look that perfectly matched the romantic atmosphere of the proposal. Fan Pier Park’s views of the Boston skyline and waterfront provided the perfect backdrop for this magical moment.

Personally, what made this shoot even more special for me was that the couple are friends of ours, so getting to witness and document their engagement felts extra meaningful.
