Boston North End Engagement Photoshoot
The North End in Boston is the hub for all things Italian, but it’s also the hub for beautiful brick buildings, busy streets, delicious restaurants and many photo opportunities! Maryjory and Barry reached out to me about booking their engagement photos back in April, and we waited until early fall to do them!
Our meeting point was at the North Square Park, this is a cute little triangle shaped park, and there are some of the most unique buildings facing this plaza, not to mention very popular restaurants too! I can’t lie, it was a bit crowded while we were there, but thankfully we were able to grab many great photos with no cars or people in the background (literally never happens if you know what a Sunday evening looks like in Boston).
Maryjory looked absolutely stunning in he gown, and Barry looked really handsome inches suit. Every corner we turned people were congratulation them on their engagement, it was a really cool experience!
Here is some information that will help you if you’re planning on scheduling a photoshoot in the North End in Boston.
Parking: You have many options for this, you can park at one of the nearby garages such as Dock Square Parking Garage, Haymarket Garage, Cross Street Parking Lot, OR you can opt to park on the street meters right near the North end, there are some on Cross St, North St, India St, and all around really (these are tricky because you can only pay for up to 2 hours!).
Where to take photos: Like I mentioned above, we started our photoshoot at the North Square Park, then moved our way down Prince St, then took a left onto Hanover St. There is also the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park, it’s super cute in the Spring, Summer, and Fall! Any little side street you may walk into in the North End will have something magical about it!
Timing: Expect weekends to be REALLY packed! People go to the North End all of the time, especially to have date nights or family nights on the weekends. If you want to have a more quiet area, with less people around, you have to schedule something weekday in the morning.
I’m excited to share these pictures on this blog, and I’m also looking forward to sharing these pictures on my Instagram (@ana.dc.photography) as well.
